'The inspiration that fueled...'- Naomi Osaka speaks on the inspiration behind her unique outfit for US Open

There are plenty of players who are trying to make a comeback in the US Open this season and one of the players we all were looking forward to in this tournament is Naomi Osaka. The Japanese players was once the World number one player and has won 4 Grand Slams as well. However she has not found much form after her long wait to get on the court.

Naomi Osaka is currently making a return to the US Open after two years where she was fighting a lot of injuries. The last few tournaments for her did not fare well at all. However she started of her campaign in the Grand slam event really well and won her 1st round game against Ostapenko in straight sets. This is the perfect start she could ask for in her US Open return and all the tennis fans enjoyed her performance in the match.

The inspiration behind Osaka's unique outfit

There is no doubt that we all hoped we see Osaka start this US Open tournament well in her first game, but what also got the attention of everybody is her uniquely designed outfit. Osaka enetered the match wearing an outfit with ruffles and a jacket. The bow at the back was also something we have not seen a lot in the game as well. Though the fans have given a mixed response to this kit with some thinking it lookes beautifull in a uique way, while other think it is slightly over the top and tacky. However we all wanted to know the inspiration behind the World number one's outfit.

This is where the Japanese gave her thoughts and ideas behind the outfit saying " The inspiration that fueled the look for me  and this might be a Japanese term  is feeling like a ‘magical girl’ on the court, There’s a moment of transformation for me when I walk onto the court, and I have a lot of fun playing, so wanting everyone who sees the outfit to connect with that feeling is a really big motivation for me.” With these words there is no doubt that there is a deeper meaning behind this outfit and it turns out she has one in black and white as well which has the same unique touch to it.
