The tennis World has already bid adieu to two big legends in the game, Roger Federer and Andy Murray, who have given us some of the greatest memories. However, there is one player who is still all over the internet and there have been a lot of rumors surrounding him this season. The player in question is Rafael Nadal.
There was a lot of hope from the fans to see Rafael Nadal play in the upcoming Laver Cup which is to start on the 20th of September, however the Spaniard recently withdrew from the tournament which has already led to the rise of retirement rumours. There is no doubt that the future of the King of Clay is looking quite bleak right now with him not being active and being title less this year.

This has honestly been a season which is very much unforgetful for El Nino where he has featured in only one Grand Slam and was last seen in the Paris Olympics where he suffered a second round defeat to Novak Djokovic and quarter final defeat in the doubles along with Alcaraz.
The big question is what is next for the King Of Clay. Right now, there are only two ATP 1000 tournaments in Shanghai and Paris and he has no chance to qualify for the ATP finals.
Though it will be tough to see a day without Nadal, but it seems like his days are numbered at the moment. It seems like the King Of Clay might be ending his professional career in Asia or Paris this season or most likely try to play next season's Australian Open. This looks like the most realistic plan right now for the legendary Spaniard going forward.
