24-time Grand Slam winner and World number 4 Novak Djokovic shuts down the retirement rumours and still hopes to win more Grand Slams in the future and play for his nation. Does the 37-year-old still have it in him to continue competing at the highest level in the upcoming season?

The Big Three is slowly coming to an end with Roger Federer ending his journey and Rafael Nadal announcing his retirement. However, we still have the likes of Novak Djokovic who is still competing at the highest level and is currently the World number 4 in the ATP rankings. The Serbian is still a legendary figure and actively playing this season.

Djokovic shuts down the retirement questions

There are already talks of Novak Djokovic retiring from the game seeing that all he has done this season is win the Gold medal in the Paris Olympics and has failed to win a single ATP title.

However, the 37-year-old Serbian powerhouse has shut down the questions and said that he still has a lot more time in the game saying, "Deep down, I still feel like I have a few more Grand Slams to win. That’s what drives me to compete, to feel like I can still do it, and to play the Davis Cup for Serbia. I love playing for Serbia."

This statement from Djokovic proves to us that he still thinks that he has enough drive and confidence to win more major titles and achieve more. Though there are some injury concerns that he has gone through, it seems like he is still trying to live up to his resilient nature which he is known for. It seems like we will be seeing a lot of Novak Djokovic in the future who will be playing in Major tournaments and for his nation in the Davis Cup.
