Spanish superstar Carlos Alcaraz opens up on his rivalry with Jannik Sinner after his triumphant campaign in Beijing. The World number 2 says that thanks to matches like these even people who do not watch tennis will witness matches like these as well. Some great words spoken by the 4-time Grand Slam winner after another title this season.

The China Open final was probably another classic rivalry match between the two young players in the setup. Both Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have been one of the most iconic performers this season and are currently the best players in the rankings as well.

Though Carlos emerged victorious in the end we cannot ignore Sinner who kept challenging the 21-year-old star at every stage in the game. This was a 3-set intense match which we can never forget where two players were battling it out on the court.

Alcaraz opens up on the rivalry

This is perhaps one of the best rivalries in the tennis World right now and we have enjoyed every moment of the two playing with each other this season as well.  Carlos Alcaraz has also opened up on their rivalry saying, "Well, I'll start saying that when Jannik and I face each other, I think it's a really good thing for tennis because we always show a really intense match, really close match, great points, great rallies." These were some great words spoken by the Spaniard during the interview where he has appreciated Sinner as a competitor as well.

Alcaraz has even opened up on how these matches help the game of tennis in growing further adding to his statement, "I think for the people who don't watch tennis, probably thanks to these kind of matches, they’ll start to watch tennis or even practice it. I think it is pretty good." This has already been a great rivalry and it is great to see the level of respect shown by both the players along with the competitive spirit on the court.
