When the reporter revealed that most of the Ball-kids admire him and acknowledged him as their favorite player, he expressed his gratitude to his fans and mentioned how he try to inspire them in a good way. He likes to talk with the ball kids and help them out, as it reminds him of his old days.
“When I was interviewing the ballkids, more than 80% would choose you as their favorite player. What is your view on your popularity among the ballkids?" a reporter asked.
In reply to this, Carlos said, “Well, honestly, it's great to have a lot of people supporting me. I'm glad that the ballkids... I have a lot of fans & that they support me. For me it's always great.
I'm trying to inspire them in a really good way, in the behavior and on the way that I play, the way that I approach every match. When I see them around, I try to just talk with them. It was great moments when I’ve seen them. So for me it is great and I'm happy to know it.”
