'I try to inspire them' - Carlos Alcaraz talks about his growing popularity amongst ball-kids

Carlos Alcaraz, a young tennis sensation in his right, has already established himself as one of the most beloved tennis players in history. With four Grand Slam titles, five Masters 1000 titles, and an Olympic Silver medal under his belt, his potential for further greatness is undeniable.

Alcaraz acknowledges this recognition and aims to continue inspiring them through his playing style and on-court behavior.

Alcaraz is widely recognized for his positive attitude and sportsmanship on the tennis court, even during challenging times. However, he has also shown moments of frustration, such as when he smashed his racket during a match against Gael Monfils at the Cincinnati Open.

Despite both the positive and challenging experiences, each contributes to Alcaraz’s growth as a tennis player and a sportsman. At 21 years of age, he has already achieved a great deal and undoubtedly has much more to offer to the sport.

Alcaraz's take on Ball-kids

When the reporter revealed that most of the Ball-kids admire him and acknowledged him as their favorite player, he expressed his gratitude to his fans and mentioned how he try to inspire them in a good way. He likes to talk with the ball kids and help them out, as it reminds him of his old days.

“When I was interviewing the ballkids, more than 80% would choose you as their favorite player. What is your view on your popularity among the ballkids?" a reporter asked.

In reply to this, Carlos said, “Well, honestly, it's great to have a lot of people supporting me. I'm glad that the ballkids... I have a lot of fans & that they support me. For me it's always great.

I'm trying to inspire them in a really good way, in the behavior and on the way that I play, the way that I approach every match. When I see them around, I try to just talk with them. It was great moments when I’ve seen them. So for me it is great and I'm happy to know it.”
