'The Dream Team..' - Fans react to Jannik Sinner's decision to hire Djokovic's ex Fitness coach and Physiotherapist

Novak Djokovic's Ex-Physio and fitness coach were hired by Sinner. They will travel along with Sinner for the Beijing Open 2024 Starting this month.

Tennis Legend Novak Djokovic’s Former Fitness coach and physio were hired by reigning US Open 2024 champion and world no 1 Jannik Sinner. The Serbians' Former Fitness coach Marco Panichi and Physiotherapist, Ulises Badio will now work alongside the world's no 1 tennis player.

Sinner recently completed his North American hard court stretch by reaching the quarter-finals of the 2024 Canadian Open, Winning the Cincinnati Open 2024 and the biggest grand slam title of the season US Open 2024. 

Jannik Sinner defeated the Americans Frances Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz to win the Cincinnati Open and the US Open. On September 16, Jannik Sinner announced that he started working with Marco Panichi and Ulises Badio ahead of the Asian swing.  

Sinner wants to walk Novak's Path

In his Instagram, he posted, “Welcome to the team Marco and Ulises.” Reacting to the big news tennis fans took to social media posting comments. A fan posted “So polite of Jannik to employ everyone who lost their job because of him.” Another one referenced a video where Djokovic tells his team that he would fire them after losing a point to the sinner in a match. 

Many fans posted that Jannik Sinner is planning to replicate Novak Djokovic’s successful career path by hiring his former coaches. Jannik Sinner will begin his next campaign by defending his 2024 China Open title Scheduled to begin on September 26 till October 2, 2024. This will be the first tournament where Djokovic’s former coaches will be by his side for the first time. 

In 2023, the Italian entered the Beijing Open 2023 as the world's No. 6 seed. He advanced the tournament by defeating Dan Evans, Yoshihito Nishioka, Grigor Dimitrov, and Carlos Alcaraz. In the finals, he defeated the world's second-ranked seed Danii Medvedev 7-6(2), 7-6(2) in straight sets to claim the title. He also defeated Medvedev in the recent US Open Tournament.
