Novak Djokovic spoke about the challenges Stefanos Tsitsipas has faced in his game lately. The Serbian Star was in the press conference during the Davis Cup where he believed that the Greek has e erything it takes to be one of the best players in the world. However, the former world number one claimed that Tsitsipas could get better in his mental health aspect.

In the press conference, Novak Djokovic said that Stefanos is one of the best players in the world in terms of the skill sets. He felt the Greek had the game to domiante the Sport. Djoker claimed that the Greek has proved in the past that he belongs at the highest level.

"I don’t think that the game-wise he’s far behind the top players, I think he possesses a game to really be an established, you know, top five player. And he has proven that on many occasions in the previous years, he is one," said Novak at the press conference.

Djoker added that the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 win was crucial for Stefanos Tsitsipas. However, he further believed that the star player needed to find a mental balance to thrive at the highest level. "Again Monte Carlo this year, which is a 1000 events. It’s just a matter of him figuring out how to find a balance, mentally foremost," added Novak in the interview. 

Stefanos has had a rollercoaster of a journey in Tennis this year. He has won Monte Carlo Masters and finished as a finalist in the Barcelona Open. Outside of it, the Greek has not been at his best possessing a win-loss record of 36-17. 

In the US Open 2024, Tsitsipas lost to Thanasi Kokkinakis in the first round. Due to an injury, he pulled out of the Davis Cup. The next challenge for Stefanos would be to represent the team of Europe in the Laver Cup. The Serbian star player further believed the Greek could be a future Grand Slam champion.
