The Australian Open Grand Slam is underway in Melbourne and many big tennis stars are playing the tournament. One of the greatest of all time, Novak Djokovic is also playing the first grand slam of this year. The Serbian legend was the only player to have won 10 Australian Open Grand Slams in his career and also has the most number of Grand Slam titles (24) under his name.

If he wins this year he will become the only player with 25 Grand Slam titles. Australia is one of his favourite countries to play tennis and Novak never fails to entertain the Aussie crowd. Even last year he had some friendly play with many australian stars including cricket icon Steve Smith.

He is the only one left in the Big 3 where the other two greats Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal retired from the game. Djokovic is also the only player from the old era who could become the Australian Open champion this year. But it is too difficult as he will face the challenges from young players like Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and many more.

To prepare against all these young guns, Novak has brought in his biggest rival Andy Murray as his coach which was a shocker to everyone. The English player who has played Djokovic all these years knows his strengths and weaknesses and will help the Serbian overcome all the challenges.

Novak Djokovic 'Awe' Moment

If he wins this year it will be a record-breaking 11th Australian Open title for the legend and many believe this is the final year that we will see him play tennis. But Before that, Novak had achieved one of his desires and that was to watch a live cricket match in the stadium.

He was seen at the Melbourne Stars vs Renegades match in the Docklands ground. The Melbourne Stars were struggling with 4-55 and captain Marcus Stoinis tried to hit a ball to six but it went very high. The ball was caught on the edge of the boundary by Renegades player Richardson and everyone in the stadium was stunned by the catch including Novak Djokovic.

The Serbian was astonished by the catch and wondered how all that happened. He was completely ‘awed’ by the catch and the atmosphere in the crowd. The 10-time Australian Open champion hasn't seen a cricket match and has no idea about the game. This is the first time in all these years Novak visited a BBL match and watched it live. Djokovic’s son was also present there and he was also stunned by the catch.
