Taylor Fritz takes gamepad swapping tennis racquet after US Open Finals defeat

American Tennis Player and seventh-ranked seed Taylor Fritz says he is very disappointed after losing the US Open finals. He is now spending most of the day playing video games and eating unhealthy foods sitting on his couch. In a recent report, he said it was too difficult to overcome defeat in the US Open finals. Before reaching the finals Taylor defeated top seeds like Frances Tiafoe, Alexander Zverev, and Casper Rudd. He is yet to win a grand slam under his name. 

Difficult to overcome defeat

Taylor Fritz said, “To be honest, I feel Probably worse than I would have expected to feel if you told me I was making the slam final. I have been sitting at my desk, playing video games for 12 hours a day, eating pretty unhealthy. Honestly, just destructive habits when I am by myself after a tournament. 

It's been so insanely hot in Florida right now like its so hot. I got to the point at the end of practices where swinging the racquet was making me just absolutely gassed. Like I was about to pass out. Like I said I have been in my room playing video games for 12 hours a day but when I walk outside, two blocks to go to Chipotle or Starbucks across the street, yes I have noticed a little bit different.”

Taylor played very well in the recently concluded fourth and final grand slam of the year. He lost to World no 1 Jannik Sinner 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 in Straight sets in the finals. He became the first American tennis player to play in the US Open finals after 18 years. The last American player to play in the US Open Finals was in 2006 when the former world number 1 player Andy Roddick lost to Tennis legend Roger Federer. Taylor fritz is now the best American player in singles.
