Tennis legend Goran Ivanisevic seems to have landed a new job for himself after his separation from star player Elena Rybakina. The 53-year-old legend is all set to work with Stefanos Tsitsipas, who is set to kickstart a new chapter of his life.
According to multiple reports, Tsitsipas is all set to welcome the Croatian coach after the conclusion of the second Grand Slam of the year, Roland Garros, with the star player currently focusing on his ongoing Monte Carlo Masters 1000 tournament, where he will be looking to defend his title this time. The Greek star has the best clay court records and is set to win this title in Monaco.
Defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas stormed into quarter-finals in Monaco
Stefanos Tsitsipas made it to another quarter-final of the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 tournament on April 10th. The defending champion has outclassed star player Nuno Borges in the third round of the prestigious event with a scoreline of 6-1, 6-1. The Greek star has marked his fifth straight quarter-final appearance in Monte Carlo in Monaco.
The star player has revealed that he has been playing some of the very closest games so far in his life. The Greek star revealed that he has tried extremely hard to push his limits, with Borges also doing the same. Tsitsipas feels that Borges somehow failed to gain an advantage over his unforced errors, which was the main reason for crashing him out of the marquee event.
"Most games were really close. I felt most of the games were ending at the 40/30 score; there was a lot of action. I don't think the score resembles the match. There was a lot more than the score shows. We both tried to push each other to the limit. He was maybe unable to take advantage of certain opportunities and I handled them much better than I expected," Tsitsipas said in his on-court interview.
