There have been a lot of great matches we have been witnessing in the current Clay season finale and we as fans have been enjoying it a lot. This has been the story of the Clay season so far, where we get some great performances and shocking results. This is what makes the game of tennis one of the most unpredictable sports we have ever witnessed.
Going into the Roland Garros, there have already been some great and intense matches in both the ATP and the WTA scene. The match that kept us on our feet was the one between world number 1 Iga Swiatek and Naomi Osaka. This was a match that went down to all three sets and had both the players fight it out to stay alive in the game. The resistance shown by both the players made it look more like a playoff game than a normal round 2 game. Though it was great to see Swiatek come back in the match and take the win, it was also amazing to see Naomi Osaka look in fine touch as well. Overall this has been the game of the tournament so far.

There is no doubt that this was a game to be witnessed by everyone who is a big fan of tennis, it was great to see two multiple grand slam winners battle it out in the Roland Garros. There was also another world number 1 who enjoyed the game as well and he is none other than UK superstar Andy Murray himself. The 3 time Grand Slam winner went on social media and posted a tweet stating " Osaka vs Swiatek is a brilliant watch WTA needs to do more to capitalize on these matchups!".
This tweet was not only about the thrilling game but was also aimed towards the WTA, to whom Andy Murray is giving his advice on how the WTA can rise to popularity due to these matches. This shows us a great player who is showing his concern for the sport he has loved throughout his career. We hope the organization takes this suggestion under consideration and takes women's tennis to great heights.
