Chris Evert opens up on Novak Djokovic's chances of winning Grand Slam titles

Former American tennis star Chris Evert has cast doubt on star player Novak Djokovic's chance of winning his 25th Grand Slam title of his career while also claiming that one should never underestimate him, as he is a big match player who rises to the right occasion. The Serbian ace's recent Grand Slam win came when he lifted the US Open 2023. He made it to the finals of Wimbledon 2024 but lost against the eventual winner Carlos Alcaraz in the summit clash.

“I would never underestimate him, but I would be surprised if he won another major, let’s put it that way. I mean, you’ve got to give the guy credit. This guy’s won everything, more than anybody. I would never say he’s not going to win, but I would be surprised. I’ve seen him play brilliantly on grass, and he’s won Wimbledon so many times, that’s why I can’t say, ‘no, he’s not gonna win another one.’ I don’t think it’s gonna be the French Open… but you can never count him out,” Chris Evert said.
