Tennis star Novak Djokovic was recently captured on camera after a practice session with his knee strapped. The 24-time Grand Slam winner is all set to return to the action in the forthcoming Geneva Open 2025 as a wildcard this time. The Serbian ace has pulled out of the Italian Open 2025 after his first-round exit from the Madrid Open 2025.
The star player has faced Italian star Matteo Arnaldi in the first round of the Mutua Madrid Open 2025. The star player suffered a shocking defeat against his opponent with a scoreline of 3-6, 4-6. Thereafter, he announced his decision to withdraw from the Italian Open. However, he stunned the tennis fraternity when he decided to make his appearance in the ATP 250 Geneva Open as a wild card to bolster the preparations for the French Open 2025.
Surprisingly, one of the pictures featuring Djokovic has been widely shared on social media. It shows him wearing a knee brace after his practice session at the ATP 250 tournament.

Novak Djokovic eyes clay court comeback
Meanwhile, Djokovic needs to stage his comeback in the clay court swing. He is yet to register his first win on this surface. The star player has suffered a first-round exit in the Monte Carlo Masters and Mutua Madrid Open, while he didn't appear in the Barcelona Open 2025.
"I didn't have too many matches on clay. I did practise well, but it's completely different when you step out on the match court. I think the positive thing is that I really enjoyed myself more than I (did) in Monte-Carlo, so that's a good thing. But obviously the level of tennis is not where I would like it to be. But, that's the circle of life and the career, eventually it was going to happen," Novak Djokovic said after Madrid Open 2R shocker.
