World number one Novak Djokovic recently outclassed Lorenzo Musetti in the third round of the French Open 2024 to make his way to the fourth round. Notably, the Serbian battled into the early morning of the hours as he played the game for around four and a half hours in round number three. However, the 37-year-old has shared his own opinions after the tournament was hit with unexpected rain over the last few days, which made it very difficult for the organisers to get it complete on the outside courts.

However, Novak Djokovic was asked about his thoughts on the Dimitrov game being played before his game. The Serbian listens to the whole situation but refuses to elucidate the whole matter and talks about staying positive from the night game over blaming any organisers at Roland Garros.

"I knew you guys were going to ask me that. Look, I don’t want to get into it. I have my opinions, but I think there are great things to talk about instead. Both Lorenzo’s and my performances stood out, I don’t want to be talking about scheduling I think some things could have been handled a different way," Novak Djokovic said.

I just felt a great new wave of willpower and energy: Novak Djokovic

Meanwhile, the defending champion was ecstatic and thanked his fans, who were waiting for his match the whole night, as well as continuously cheering for him, which helped him make the magnificent comeback. The Seribain accepted that he turned out to be a different player when the fans were chanting his name.

"I really mean what I said on the court that the crowd definitely got me going. I really needed that push, I needed that energy at two-all in the fourth. They started chanting my name, and I just felt a great new wave of willpower and energy. I was a different player from that moment onwards. I think from that moment onwards I only lost one game. I was on a high, riding that wave and really not letting go of that stranglehold that I created on Lorenzo at the end of the fourth," he added further.
