World number one, Jannik Sinner, recently claimed the Fan's Favourite Singles Player award for the second straight year. The 23-year-old cricketer grabbed this honour after finishing the best campaign of his career in 2024, winning eight titles, including two grand slams.

The Italy-born star started the year with a 16-match winning streak, culminating in his maiden Grand Slam title during the 2024 Australia Open. He thwarted Novak Djokovic in the final showdown. The star player continued his momentum throughout the campaign, winning the US Open 2024, three Masters 1000 crowns, and the ATP Finals just a few days ago. In addition, the 23-year-old star led his nation to defend the Davis Cup after toppling Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands.

The ATP announced that the Italy star had won the award for the second straight year. Following the same, Sinner took to Twitter and thanked his fans who had voted for him. He further talked about his tennis journey and how his fans played a crucial role in his career.

"Thank you to all the fans around the world for voting for me. Winning this award for the second time means so much to me, especially because it’s coming directly from you," Jannik Sinner wrote on X.

Meanwhile, this isn't his first ATP award, as Sinner was named the Most Improved Player of the Year, an edition in which he claimed the Next Gen ATP Finals title, thwarting Alex de Minaur in the final showdown.

The 23-year-old player is preparing to mark his return by training in Dubai. He is set to miss a few upcoming matches, leading up to his Australian Open title defence slated to take place in mid-January in Melbourne.
