There have been a lot of top young players in the mix but the man everyone has their focus on is none other than Jannik Sinner. Italian sensation is currently the World number one and has been having a great season where he won the Australian Open and has won multiple titles as well. These performances have established him as one of the best players in the world and he will want to live up to those standards moving forward as well.

There is no doubt that the 22-year-old Jannik Sinner is one of the most popular players in the World of tennis right now, but the last few tournaments he has featured in have not been his complete best. Sinner took a long break after his heartbreaking quarter-final exit in Wimbledon only to lose to Andrey Rublev in the Canadian Open where he just came back on the court. It turns out the hip injury is still bothering him even today which has made everyone sceptical about him being 100% fit this season. It turns out we just have to wait and see what the young star has in store for us in Cincinnati.

Sinner opens up on his injury

Sinner's hip injury has made him miss out on some major tournaments this season and there is no doubt that there will be a lot of questions surrounding this topic. The Italian has recently opened up on his hip injury saying " I feel quite good. I made nearly one week without practising before and then after playing for two, or three days in a row, a bit more than usual, which could have had a potential impact on the hip, But I’m not afraid. I feel good with the hip, and I’m just looking forward to going back on court here.”

These words from the ATP World number one seem confident and we are glad to hear that there is a high chance that he will be featured in the Cincinnati Open, but we still want him to be careful because we all know that he has the potential to be one of the biggest things in tennis right now. Let us all hope that Sinner goes on to win some more big matches and get back to his best after facing a disappointing exit in Montreal.
