Jannik Sinner acknowledges the legends in his Shanghai Masters victory speech

The Shanghai Masters finals are over and it is Jannik Sinner emerges victorious after beating the legendary Novak Djokovic in straight sets. The World number 1 acknowledges and appreciates all the great people who came to witness the finals and see him win his 7th ATP title of the season. 

Jannik Sinner will be finishing the season at the top of the ATP rankings. This has been a season to remember for Champion who has so far won 60 wins and only 6 losses this season. He will be looking forward to the next few tournaments.

Sinner acknowledges the legends

There is no doubt there were a lot of fans who were looking forward to this final and we even saw the likes of Roger Federer and Carlos Alcaraz who attended the thrilling face-offs between the two star players. Sinner was victorious after beating Novak Djokovic in straight sets and even acknowledged them during his victory speech starting off with his opponent saying, "I’d like to start with Novak straight away. So nice to see you still playing incredible tennis. You keep showing it year after year. Not only you but also your team. I also know some of your team we are exchanging a little bit with our team members. You’re doing an incredible job. I wish you all the best."

This was not all as Sinner also went on to acknowledge the legends in the stands pointing towards Alcaraz, Federer, and Ferrero saying, "I think Novak already said about the crowd that we have and also seeing the three legends. I played against one legend. Now I see legends everywhere. I’m just trying to keep up with it." This speech from Sinner had some funny moments but it was great to see him show respect and appreciate these known figures and what they have done for the game
