The tennis World will finally witness a young Italian sensation Jannik Sinner finishing as the World number 1 by the end of the year and it has been a season to remember. The first man to ever do it from his nation is now regarded as one of the next big things in the sport. The future is looking bright for the 2-time Grand Slam winner.

The year 2024 might have seen the end of the big three this season but it is important to acknowledge the new generation stars as well. One of the big stars of the game is Jannik Sinner who has won 6 ATP titles including two Grand Slam events. With almost 60 wins this season, it is safe to say that this is a peak season for the 23-year-old young prodigy.

Sinner on achieving the feat

The news of Sinner finishing as the World number 1 has put the Italian tennis player in a spot. It has never reached before and Sinner also discussed this at the conference on this achievement and how it affects Italian tennis saying, "I'm very proud to be Italian, and just bringing back something for the fans, and then they are giving me so much love, so I'm happy to be in that position." This shows the level of respect the Italian has for his country and is happy that he has given his people something to cheer and be happy about.

Sinner also went on to acknowledge other Italian players during the conference where he added further saying, "There is not only me, we are so many great players, so many we have in top 100, top 200, it's amazing that the tennis is growing, and hopefully it can grow even bigger.” This shows the humble and mature nature of Sinner and we hope we get to see him achieve even more going forward.
