Jannick Sinner reaches Monte Carlo semi final after defeating Holger Rune in gruelling Quarter final match

The knockouts of the Monte Carlo Masters are in play right now. This is the moment in the game where the world's top-ranked players will be competing against each other. Sinner wins in intense semi-final clash

This was a match everyone has been looking forward to with both the players being in great form recently. The first set saw the Sinner dominate with a score of 6-4. This certainly put pressure on the young Danish who has been trying to turn his luck around in the knockouts. However, after a disappointing first set, Holger Rune came back in an intense tiebreaker in the second. The young Danish out of nowhere came back into the match and kept his semi-final hope alive. This meant the third set was do or die for both the players. Unfortunately for last season’s runner-up, It was Sinner who broke the important serve and went on to win the final set 6-3.

This was a game which was worth the watch where both the players gave it their all on the stage. However, it was Sinner who took the victory in the end. The form of the 22-year-old Italian is on another level. We have to give props to Rune for giving his best and trying to find his way into this game. However, it was Sinner who won on the day. The Italian superstar will be playing 2-time Monte Carlo champion Stefanos Tsitsipas in the upcoming semi-final which will be another interesting game to witness.
