The world of Tennis is known to create champions every season. There have been a lot of young players who have gone on to become champions in their careers. The likes of Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova were champions either in their early 20s or late teens. Some players are in the same category this season with the likes of Carlos Alacaraz and Holger Rune rising to the challenge.

Another player who is prospering at an early age is the Italian superstar Jannick Sinner. The 22-year-old has been in the form of his life this season with a grand slam win at Brisbane and winning the Miami Open recently as well. Sinner has even overtaken Carlos Alcaraz for the number 2 spot in the world ATP rankings. He has impressed everyone with his powerful forehand shots and using the baseline well.

Sinners path to first Monte Carlo masters glory

Sinner has had a great run so far this season, winning some big titles. This is the season where he is finally reaching his peak in Tennis. He will still have a lot of tough competitors in this competition. We all know how talented Sinner is, but the clay surface is not the easiest court to play on for anyone. Let us take a look at the projected path to success in the upcoming Monte Carlo masters.

Round 2- Sebastian Korda

Sebastian Korda is still a young player in the set-up. He has been slowly coming up the ranks with a win at the Emilia- Romagna Open in 2021 and reaching the quarter-finals of the 2023 Australian Open, where he also beat the likes of Daniil Medvedev. However, he will still be up against a much tougher competitor who is in great form. Sinner will be the favourite for everyone to get past this lower-seeded player.

Round 3- Alexander Bublik

Kazakhstani player Alexander Bublik has just broken into the top 20 this season. He is another young player who has shown that he can compete in both the singles and the doubles categories. He has won 4 career titles in the singles already. Despite the promise he has shown, Sinner can put pressure on the latter and his unique style on clay may not bring him a lot of success. This should be an easy victory for the Italian superstar.

Quarter Finals- Holger Rune

There is no doubt that Holger Rune has everything to become a world champion in the future, but he is still a long way from beating one of the best in the world right now. They both have played 3 matches where Holger has the lead over Sinner. Despite being ahead of the competition, Sinner had the last laugh over Rune the last time they played. This might still be a closer match than we think, but Sinner will surely go into this match with confidence and come out on top against last season’s runner-up.

Semi finals- Daniil Medvedev

This will be the match everyone will look forward to. After all, it is between world number 2 and world number 4. Sinner so far has been dominating Medevedev's defensive style of play. The Australian Open final and the Miami Open semi-finals are big examples. Medvedev will be the man under pressure against Sinner. This might go different ways but we still expect Sinner to beat Medvedev in this contest, especially on clay where his aggressive style will be more effective compared to Medvedev counter punching.

Finals- Novak Djokovic

This is the match that we all will be looking forward to where the world number 1 will come up against the world number 2. This could be one of the toughest finals Sinner will ever play knowing Novak Djokovic's record. Sinner had got the better of the 24-time Grand Slam winner, but you cannot predict a lot with the Serbian powerhouse. The fact that they have similar styles as well, will make this an interesting final. Sinner will be put to the test, but there is a chance that we see him come out on top just like in the Australian Open semi-finals. Looking at this path it might be a bit of a challenge for Sinner, but he will look to give the fight in this tournament as well.
