There have been many upcoming stars in Tennis that have recently not been on top after a fall in performances. The likes of Nick Kyrgios and Andy Murray are examples of players who had a lot of potential to have greater careers than they have had so far. There is still some hope for these players to make a comeback into the game after a series of poor performances. This will be a chance for them to show why they are regarded as one of the talented players in the world.

One player who was compared to the likes of great due to his amazing ability to cover the court is Stefanos Tsitsipas. The 25-year-old Greek has been a two-time grand slam finalist and has won 10 singles titles to his name. There was a time where Tsitsipas made it to an ATP ranking of number 3 and was even compared to the likes of Roger Federer. Despite still being among the top 20 players, we can still say that he has not been in the form of his this season.

Tsitsipas makes it to the semi’s

The Monte Carlo Masters is where Tsitsipas has had some successful years in the past. He has won two consecutive titles in this tournament in 2021 and 2022. This tournament was certainly an opportunity for him to come into the limelight once again. Tsitsipas was playing the quarter finals against the talented Russian Karen Khachanov who was coming from a victory after defeating world number 4 Daniil Medvedev. This was another one sided bout that went in favour of the Greek as he won two straight sets against Khachanov with scores of 6-4 and 6-2. This made sure that he makes his third semi final appearance in Monte Carlo and gets to his third title victory.

This has been a tournament that Tsitsipas needed to get back into form after some disappointing performances since the last season. This has kept his dreams and chances alive to rise up the rankings right now. Tsitsipas will still have some world class competitors to deal with in the last two games he is playing. This will be a challenge and an opportunity for him to show why he was one of the top guys two years ago in this game.
