Tennis sensation Jack Draper has recently withdrawn from the 2025 Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships. This decision comes after a successful run in the recently concluded Qatar Open 2025, where he reached the final round before losing to Andrey Rublev in the epic three-setter.
The British star's withdrawal is primarily due to the need to manage his workload and prioritize his recovery. Following a series of long matches in Doha, the star player is taking medical advice to ensure his body is in optimal condition for future events. Specifically, tournament organizers mentioned issues with his right adductor as a factor in this decision.

What next for Jack Draper after missing the Dubai event?
Despite missing the Dubai event, Draper is looking forward to competing in the forthcoming tournaments. The 23-year-old star player has expressed his intention to participate in the BNP Paribas Open and Miami Open next month.
Draper's recent performance in the Qatar Open 2025 in Doha has elevated him to his high ranking of 12th in the world. His absence from Dubai will not affect his current rankings much as he focuses on maintaining his health for more important tournaments later this year.
Meanwhile, the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championship is set to be scheduled from February 24 to March 1. Draper's withdrawal means that a lucky loser will take place in the drawn game, facing Marton Fucsovics in the opening-round thriller.

"Unfortunately, I have made the decision to withdraw from the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. After a great week at the Qatar Open, I’m taking onboard advice to prioritise my recovery and manage my body after a number of long matches, and give myself the best chance of competing consistently throughout the year. I’m gutted not to compete at such an amazing event but will look forward to returning to competition at the BNP Paribas Open and Miami Open," Draper said.
