'It feels like he has...'- Andy Roddick on comparing Jannik Sinner traits with Roger Federer

Former World number one Andy Roddick compares Jannik Sinner to Swiss Maestro Roger Federer following his triumphant US Open win this season.

There have been many great young players who were at their peak this season and have been sensations who are already considered the future pioneers of the game. One of the players who has been the dominant best and is an Italian sensation and World number one Jannik Sinner. The 23-year-old has been at his dominant best so far and is still looking good to win some more tournaments this season.

Sinner has been having the season of his lifetime winning six titles which include 2 Grand Slam tournaments in the Australian Open and US Open. With 55 wins and only 5 losses this season with a win rate of abover 90, there is no doubt that the 2-time Grand Slam winner has been in the form of his life and will like to continue it going forward as well to finish as the top ranked player of 2024.

Roddick compares the Sinner to the Maestro

There have been a lot of praises about Sinner after his US Open triumph and one of them is the former US Open champion and Former World number one Andy Roddick. The American had shared his story on Sinner and makes a big comparison as he compares him to Roger Federer saying, "He is the most relaxed person I’ve ever seen besides Roger before a Slam final. It feels like he has this very quiet confidence about the way that he goes about things."

This is not all as Roddick even went onto say how his demanor makes him a big threat in the game as well as further stated, "Even his celebrations aren’t like for anyone else, it’s like this relief like okay and you feel like he was ready to start again like an hour after the US Open, which is a problem for the rest of the earth." It is clear from this statement that the former 2003 US Open winner says a lot how impressive of a season it has been for the Italian sensation and to be compared to Roger Federer is always something Sinner should cherish for the rest of his career.
