British tennis player Emma Raducanu will have tight security around her during her matches at the Indian Wells 2025 tournament. During her last tournament in Dubai, Raducanu faced a frightening stalker, whom she observed in all her matches. Emma was scared and went to the chair umpire complaining about the issue.

She was emotionally crying behind the elevated chair and her opponent, Karolina Muchova, went to Emma to console her. After that, the man was removed from the court and was banned from attending future WTA events. The stalker tracked Emma Raducanu’s home and even stole her father’s shoes outside. When she saw him on the Dubai Open court, she was frightened and immediately raised the issue with the umpire.

Emma Raducanu gets a Secret Service agent

To stop these kinds of incidents from happening further, the Indian Wells organisation has tightened the security for the 2021 US Open tennis champion.  They are bringing five extra security guards led by a former US Secret Service agent, Bob Campbell. He spent 20 years as a secret service agent and has handled these types of hostile situations in sports.

Emma Raducanu’s coach dropped a shocking revelation that the Stalker had been following her across four countries. Initially, they thought he was a fan asking her for selfies and hugs. He even claims that the stalker has everything planned to get close to Emma, and that is why they had already raised a complaint regarding the issue with the Dubai Police.

The creepiest part? It happened during a rare moment when she was alone. “That was the only moment in a month where I, the fitness coach, the security guard who was with us, was not with her at that moment. So that man was assessing the situation and looking for the best moment to get closer to her. He had a strategy that was terrifying; he thought everything through and calculated it.”

This is not the first time Emma has faced these kinds of situations in 2022, a UK stalker was removed from the court and was given a 5-year ban from attending WTA events. After this calculated planning incident, Emma's security definitely needs to tighten up for her own safety.
