Iga Swiatek withdraws from the Wuhan Open after splitting with longtime coach Tomasz Wiktorowki with reports suggesting that the World number 1 wants to get used to the changes made in her team and come back stronger in the upcoming tournaments. The fans also wish her well and hope she makes a comeback this season.
The 2024 season has seen a lot of great performances in the WTA scene but the player who has ruled the game this season is none other than Iga Swiatek who is the current World number 1 this season as well. The Polish Superstar has won 5 titles which also include her 3rd consecutive Roland Garros title and 4th title overall. It is safe to say that she deserves to remain on the top of the rankings and the fans are waiting to see her make a return after the US Open.
Swiatek withdraws from Wuhan
The next tournament in the WTA scene is the Wuhan Open and everyone was waiting for Swiatek to make a return in this tournament after withdrawing from Seoul and Beijing, In fact, we already got the news that Swiatek has split from her coach and due to adapting to the changes in her team, she has chosen to withdraw from the upcoming Wuhan Open which was the next big tournament worth another 1000 points. This might have come as a shock to the fans as well who will have to wait longer to see her return on the Asian tour.
Though it is disappointing that we will not get to see the World number 1 back on the court in the upcoming event, The fans have still wished her well and hope that she comes back soon and continues her great form.
