'I'm glad that I can...'- Iga Swiatek's father on being part of her coaching team during her career

The WTA scene has turned very competitive lately and we have seen some great players come up through the rankings this season. One of the players who has been dominating the game so far and is Iga Swiatek, who is the current World number 1 and has already won 5 Grand Slam titles and has been one of the best players this season with 5 titles to her name and a record of 54-7.

Iga Swiatek is not having the best of time on the hard court season and also had to face disappointment in Olympics where she had to settle for a bronze. On the other hand, she has still impressed us with her speed and agility especially in the clay season where she has enjoyed a lot of success. At the age of 23 Swiatek has already achieved a lot in the game and she is already considered as one of the next upcoming superstars in tennis.

Swiatek's father on being part of her team

There is no doubt that Iga deserves all the credit for her amazing performances this season, but we cannot take the credit away from her team who have helped her reach great heights this season. One of the influential figures in her life is her father Tomasz Swiatek who has helped her throughout her career. He has also trained her  before handing over the coaching duty to Tomasz Wiktorowski. Tomasz also opened up on his role as a trainer and a part of her team saying, "I didn't cut her off, because I'm still with her, I go to many tournaments. However, I try to have my own life and let Iga live and work the way she wants."

Tomasz also brings up the details on how he is happy that he has a role as a parent further adding to the statement " I'm glad that I can be with her in the role of a parent. It's really more beneficial for everyone when there's a division of roles and responsibilities. The result is good results on the court. "
