We all have our favorites in each sport and the sport of tennis in the 2000's were ruled by three players who were none other than Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. These three players were considered the big three and had dominated the game for a long time and are still regarded as one of the best in the World for how much they have contributed to the game of tennis.

Rafael Nadal was the player who started the rise of the big three by beating the dominant Federer and going on to become one of the biggest legends in the game. With 22 Grand Slams, two Olympic Gold medals and number of career titles it is safe to say that we will be missing the King Of Clay who will most likely end his career this season. It has been a career full of great moments which none of us will ever forget filled with some amazing highlights in the game.

Nadal yet to confirm retirement

Though we all love to see Nadal play we have to be honest that this has not been one of his best seasons as he has failed to win a title and will be missing the US Open as well. There are many people thinking that we are close to seeing El Nino finally hanging up his racket. However the latest statement from the Spaniard did not come with any confirmation about ending his career where he has stated " I'm not in a hurry to make a decision about my future. What is certain is that I will be in the Laver Cup, and then we will see."

There were many people who thought that Nadal might finally say goodbye to the game after Laver Cup, but it turns out he has still not given a clear confirmation at all. This might mean that there is still a chance we might see the 38-year-old legend for one more season. There will be a lot of questions that will be surrounding this statement, but it turns out we will still have to wait and see after Laver Cup on what Nadal has planned for the future.
