Men's tennis has already made a comeback with the start of the Laver Cup this season, but we are yet to see the top stars of WTA in action. The tournament they will be looking forward to is the China Open which will be held in Beijing and might feature some big players in the setup going forward. Overall this will be a tournament to look forward to for all the ATP and WTA players

The defending champion of the tournament is none other than Iga Swiatek and there is no doubt that the people were expecting to see the World number 1 return on the big stage and make a comeback after some slightly underwhelming performances in the backend where she has failed to win Cincinnati and the US Open getting eliminated in the playoffs. We all are waiting to see when the Polish Superstar will make a comeback after the Grand Slam event and make sure she keeps her dominance in the WTA rankings as she is still the World number 1, but it turns out that the fans might have to wait longer.

Swiatek withdraws from Beijing

This is one of the most shocking news that came to light where Swiatek has officially withdrawn from the China Open and will not be seen in Beijing at all. This is once again disappointing news from the fans who were looking forward to seeing her play and defend her title in China. With this, the WTA World number 1 has also dropped some more important points since she was the defending champion as well. It turns out that the reason behind this withdrawal is due to some personal reasons faced by the current World number 1.

It has been a long time since the US Open that we haven't seen Swiatek on the court and we hope she makes a return this season since she will need some games under her belt for the upcoming tournaments and the WTA finals. The fans will be waiting to see the 5-time Grand Slam winner back in action and dominate like she has done throughout the season.
