Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka had a mixed bag in the semifinals of Wimbledon 2025. While Swiatek had the best moment of Wimbledon to date by making it to her first-ever final after beating Belinda Bencic, the top seed, Sabalenka was knocked out of the tournament, thanks to a strong performance from Amanda Anisimova.
The match between Sabalenka and Anisimova was great, as they put on a 3-setter show full of good rallies and high-class athleticism. The 13th-seed had a lead of 6-4 after the end of the first set. The world number 1 came back strong in the second set, as he won it by 6-4, which meant the third and the last set between the two was a decider.

The last set was won by the American, whose 6-4 ensured she entered the final. In the process, she became the first American since Serena Williams to enter the final of both the US Open and Wimbledon. On the other hand, Belarusian star bowed out of the tournament despite being a favorite to win.
Iga Swiatek to face Amanda Anisimova in Wimbledon 2025 Women's Singles Final
Iga had an easy outing against Belinda Bencic in the semifinal, as the Swiss posed little to no threats in the semifinal. In the first set, Bencic won just two games, while it was even worse in the second set, as she managed to win no games.

Swiatek's dominant win of 6-2, 6-0 in straight sets helped her enter her first Wimbledon final. The 24-year-old had not even made it to the Semifinal of Wimbledon before 2025. She now has a good chance to win her first grass-court Grand Slam. However, it will be a tough challenge, considering how good Amanda has been playing in the last few days.
