The WTA singles draw for the third Grand Slam of the year, Wimbledon 2025, was revealed on June 27th. Top players, with the likes of Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff, have received disparate paths to the final clash in terms of difficulties.

While the world number one, Aryna Sabalenka, is one of the finest players and a favorite to grab the title here after finishing up as the runner-up in the Australian Open and French Open earlier this year, the lower half is likely to be much more stacked this time, as French Open champion Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek have been placed in the fourth quarter for the second half.

Aryna Sabalenka's Pathway to Finals

The world number one seems to have a straightforward path in the first week, but she might struggle going forward in her second week. She will be facing qualifiers in her first two rounds, making her path easy to storm into the round of 32.

However, the third round might offer some interesting match-ups for her, as she might face Emma Raducanu or Marketa Vondrousova, who defeated her in the Berlin Open semi-final and later won the title. If she defeats them, the 27-year-old might face Elina Svitolina or Elise Mertens to get a berth in the quarter-finals.

Thereafter, Sabalenka might face Madison Keys or Paula Badosa in the quarter-finals before facing Jasmine Paolini or Zheng Qinwen and Jelena Ostapenko in the semi-finals. If she manages to beat them as well, we might see her once again playing Coco Gauff in the summit clash.

Iga Swiatek's hard Pathway

The former world number one is having one of the toughest paths here. She will be facing Polina Kudermetova in the first round before facing qualifiers in the second round. However, her journey might be tough from the third round itself, as she will be facing Danielle Collins or Marta Kostyuk in the third round before facing 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina in the fourth round.

Swiatek will be facing Coco Gauff in the last eight rounds. If she manages to defeat both Rybakina and Gauff, then she's set to face players like Jessica Pegula and Mirra Andreeva for a place in the final.

Coco Gauff's straightforward Pathway

The French Open 2025 has one of the easiest pathways. She is set to face the qualifiers till the third round of Wimbledon 2025. She might face a threat from Daria Kasatkina in the next round to place in the last eight rounds. However, she will be setting up a blockbuster clash in the quarter-finals as she will be locking horns against Iga Swiatek or Elena Rybakina.

If she manages to overcome Swiatek's challenge, then we might see her facing either Pegula or Andreeva in the semi-finals. One might predict her final game with Aryna Sabalenka.
