Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi has made a name for herself at a very young age. At just 15, she took part in the WTA 125 Mumbai Open and became the youngest Indian to attain a WTA ranking. She was regarded as the breakout star in India's biggest junior event. At 16, she recently became the first Indian woman to qualify for Wimbledon juniors.
As per the WTA, Revathi "is the first player born in 2009 to make this stage of a main draw at this level." She went toe-to-toe against some of the best players of her level, like Iryna Shymanovich, Mei Yamaguchi, and Zarina Diyas, the former Top 50 player.

In May 2025, she attained her career best WTA ranking of 642. As of July 2025, she is ranked 57th at the ITF Junior Ranking and was ranked a career-best 56th in January 2025. As of July 2025, she boasts a good win record of 74%, which is impressive.
Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi's role models: Rafael Nadal and Sania Mirza
At a very young age, she caught the attention of the Rafael Nadal Academy, which offered her a scholarship to develop as a player. Maaya's parents, Rajeshwaran and Revathi, and her coach Manoj Kumar, laid a platform for nurturing her as a Tennis player. In January 2024, she received a grant of $50000 under the Grand Slam Player Development Programme, which helped her career a lot.

Revathi's biggest Tennis role model is Rafael Nadal, and she happens to be learning in his academy. In 2024, she also got a chance to witness her hero in action in Spain. Her second biggest role model is none other than Sania Mirza, who is India's biggest female Tennis player by a distance, as of 2025.
