Tennis star player Iga Swiatek has maintained her top spot in the WTA rankings after her magnificent win at the Italian Open in 2024. However, Danielle Collins who made it to the semi-finals, has returned closer to the top-10. Swiatek has the dominant run, as she hasn't lost a single set. The Polish star defeated Aryna Sabalenka 6-2, 6-3. Aryna Sabalenka sits in the second spot with 3557 points. Meanwhile, Coco Gauff stands in the third spot, while Elena Rybankina remains in the fourth.

However, Iga Swiatek expressed her happiness after the great win at the Italian Open 2024. The Poland-born star reveals that she aims to stay humble and follow every step that helped her win the Mutua Madrid Open 2024 and the Italian Open 2024. The young player has set her eyes to capture the French Open 2024, which is slated to take place on May 26.

"Obviously I am confident. I feel like I'm playing great tennis. But it doesn't change the fact that I really want to stay humble and really focused on getting everything step by step. Grand Slams are different. There is different pressure on the court and off the court. These are hard seven matches that you need to win, so I don't take anything for granted. I'll just work hard as I did in Madrid and Rome, and we'll see," Iga Swiatek said.

You always know that you have to build the point and you have to finish the point: Aryna Sabalenka

Meanwhile, Aryna Sabalenka ended up being the first runner-up after suffering a loss against Iga in the final games of the Mutua Madrid Open and the Italian Open.

"I hope we're going to make it to the final in Roland Garros, and I'm going to get you there. Just kidding. I'm just going to try to do better than today. Her movement is incredible. You always know that you have to build the point and you have to finish the point,"  Sabalenka said.
