Two-time Grand Slam semi-finalist and Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Karen Khachanov was unhappy with Young French superstar Ugo Humbert's behaviour during the Paris Masters semi-final. The Russian star says he has to show more respect and has no idea how to behave. The disappointment is seen in his expressions during the interview.
The Paris Masters final is set to be played between German number 1 Alexander Zverev and French superstar Ugo Humbert. While Zverev got the better of Holger Rune, Humbert beat 2018 Paris Masters winner Karen Khachanov in a 3-set classic. This will be a brilliant battle between the World number 3 and the Home-favorite superstar who will be going after his first-ever ATP 1000 title today. This is perhaps one of the most interesting matchups we will witness in the final ATP 1000 tournament of the season.
Khachanov is not happy with Humbert's behaviour
The semi-final between Khachanov and Humbert was a thrilling contest where both the players gave it their all, but in the end, it was Humbert who got the better of the Russian in the last two sets. However, Khachanov was upset with the behavior of the Frenchman who was celebrating while he he was down and struggling in the last set.
Khachanov had some harsh words to say about him saying, "I told him at the net to show more respect. He has no idea how to behave. I’m always about fair play. I will congratulate him if he behaves like a normal person. That’s all I can say."
This has brought a mixed response from the fans where some agree with the Russian while some feel that he has taken the situation a bit too seriously. Though Humbert was slightly overboard and it might have been slightly disrespectful of him to celebrate even while Khachanov was on the ground, It is still a debate whether it was wrong of him to get the crowd going.
