Tennis star Alexander Zverev has made an honest confession about his form ahead of the second Grand Slam of the Year, Roland Garros, slated to take place in the last week of May. The star player had showcased a breathtaking performance in the Australian Open, making it to the final round after his semi-final game was adjusted as a 'walkover' following Novak Djokovic's knee injury. However, the German-born star faltered against world number one Jannik Sinner and failed to win the major title.

After the Australian Open, Zverev showcased horrendous form in the ATP 500 and 1000 tournaments, where he failed to make it to any of the finals. His recent loss came in the Monte Carlo 1000 ATP tournament, where he was ousted by Italian star Matteo Berrettini in the second round of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Zverev is currently making an appearance in the Barcelona Open 2025. The star player has stormed into the pre-quarters of the ATP 500 tournament after his win over Alexandre Muller in the opening round. The tennis player has talked about his form ahead of the 2025 French Open.

The world number three accepted that he hadn't played well in the last few tournaments and failed to beat some players, which he was expected to do. Despite that, Zverev feels that he can still beat some of the top players when it comes to performing on the biggest stage. The tennis player has made his intentions to be in superb form by the time of the French Open 2025.

"Of course I haven't played particularly well. I lost to a lot of guys that I should have beaten. I still believe I can play well on the big stage. I mean, I played in the Australian Open final three months ago. That said, I haven't forgotten how to do it. But yes, the last few weeks have been a bit more difficult, but I'm still very confident that I will play well now and hopefully in the next few weeks. I still have faith in myself that I will start playing really good tennis by the time Paris comes around and that Paris will still be the main focus," Alexander Zverev said.
