The Tunisian star claimed to have been pushing herself hard, fighting through injuries and other challenges in the last few years. However, she claimed not to have felt happy on the court for a while.

The WTA star regarded Tennis to be a beautiful sport, but felt it was not the right time for her to continue playing. She felt the ned to step back to concentrate on herself, heal, and rediscover the joy of living to become a better version of herself before returning to action.

"For the past two years, I've been pushing myself so hard, fighting through injuries and facing many other challenges. But deep down, I haven't truly felt happy on the court for some time now. Tennis is such a beautiful sport. But right now, I feel it's time to take a step back and finally put myself first: to breathe, to heal, and to rediscover the joy of simply living," Ons Jabeur claimed in her statement.

Jabeur had even pointed out starting a family with her husband, Karim Kamoun, which could also be a case. The Tunisian thanked her fans for understanding her situation and claimed their support means a lot to her. She promised to stay close and connected to the sport and fans even while she's away from action.

"Thank you to all my fans for understanding. Your support and love mean the world to me. I carry it with me always. Even while I'm away from the court, I'll continue to stay close and connected in different ways, and share this journey with you all," added Jabeur in her statement.
