Tennis legend Chris Evert has talked about major concerns regarding star player Iga Swiatek's form, despite naming her as a top-four favourite to win the WTA singles French Open 2025 title. Notably, the Polish star is the defending champion at Roland Garros and was hailed as 'Queen of Clay' in 2024 after winning the Italian Open, the Madrid Open, and the French Open. However, she has been in horrendous form this time and hasn't made it to the finals since her French Open 2024 victory.

Notably, Swiatek has been making bold headlines for her poor performance in the current clay-court swing. She crashed out of the Italian Open 2025 after USA star Danielle Collins defeated her in the Round of 32. Her early exit has now dashed her hopes of defending her French Open title.

Who are the top four favourites to win the French Open 2025?

Speaking about the same subject, the former world number one has predicted her four favourites to win the second Grand Slam of the year. The 18-time Grand Slam winner has named Aryna Sabalenka, who has been in red-hot form, already having won three titles this year. In addition, she has also named Australian Open 2025 champion Madison Keys and USA star player Coco Gauff, who has made it to the finals of the Madrid Open, along with Iga Swiatek.

“I don’t know how you can pick anybody between [Aryna] Sabalenka, Iga and Coco, and with Madison Keys, really, to me would be my fourth pick. I just don’t know how Iga is going to react. That, to me, is the unknown. We know what she is capable of, and with her past records, she’s brilliant at the French Open, but I just don’t know if she can find her A game, because she’s going to need it. It’s kind of like we’re seeing her C game right now,” the 18-time major winner told Forbes.
