Coco Gauff celebrates Mother’s Day with mom Candi over dinner during Italian Open

Tennis star Coco Gauff seems to have been enjoying a dinner date with her mother on special Mother's Day amid her ongoing Italian Open 2025 campaign. The USA star's outing with her mom, Candi Gauff, came on this year's Mother's Day after she honestly admitted to always footing the bill whenever the two go out to eat.

The star player has stormed into the pre-quarterfinals of the Italian Open 2025 after a stellar victory over Magda Linette with a scoreline of 7-5, 6-3. She is now set to face formidable WTA player Emma Raducanu in her next clash, where the two stars aim to seal the quarter-final berth.

Coco Gauff was always seen hailing her mother, Candi, as one of the most inspiring and influential figures in her life. The world number three was seen naming her mom when asked about the women she got inspired by. This remark came during the Indian Wells 2025 second-round victory.

"I'll give it (a shoutout on International Women's Day) for sure to my mom. She's been rocking with me, I don't know where she went, but she's been rocking with me the past few weeks," Coco Gauff said.

Meanwhile, Gauff's mother, Candi, has also talked about raising her daughter with the right values in the Mutua Madrid Open 2025. In one of the interviews, Gauff's mother was seen talking about the life lessons she had shared with her daughter as she was growing up.

"Just making sure that you understand morals, values, and have good character and be a good person first, and then your tennis. A lot of times, people focus more on your tennis and think that’s your avenue out, but no, you have to be a good person first," Candi said.
