The second Grand Slam of the year, the French Open 2025, is set to start on May 25 in Paris. The top WTA and ATP stars are all set to steal the show here by giving stellar performances on the clay court swing. Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek aim to defend their titles here in Paris.

However, it has come to note that there have been some major changes in the rules and regulations this time in the Roland Garros. These new changes have been enforced with the aim of improving things both for the players and fans so that they can watch the uninterrupted match.

No alcohol this time from the stands

A plethora of players, including tennis legend Novak Djokovic, have complained about vocal fans at the French Open 2023. Notably, Aryna Sabalenka and Claura Tauson were seen complaining about the crowd at the Italian Open 2025 in Rome.

This time, the French Open officials have decided to ban the alcohol. This was implemented last year only but is set to continue this year as well. The tournament's officials have decided to go for a zero-tolerance policy towards the players in Paris.

Changes in semi-finals in ATP matches

The men's semis are set to take place from 6 PM in the UK instead of 1.30 PM and 4.30 PM. These new timings showcase that both matches will be played in the lights. The second semi-final is set to take place 90 minutes after the first semi-final and run late into the evening.

Special 'Fan Zone' at Place de la Concorde

The French Open 2025 is set to witness a special 'fan zone' at Place de la Concorde for the quarter-finals round this year. It will be established on 4 June and will remain there till June 9. There will be a seating capacity of over 5000 fans, and it will offer them food and drinks. There will be a DJ arrangement and Roland Garros boutiques.
