Lopez to join Carlitos team

Since his teenage years it has been the former World number 1 Juan Carlos Ferrero who has been Alcaraz's head coach and it turns out that there is another former Spanish star Samuel Lopez who will also be joining the team in the upcoming season. Lopez recently had split with the Tokyo Olympics medalist Pablo Carreño Busta for the last 9 years and was a former World number 10. Though he will not be making his presence in the Australian Open, we will still get to see him in the Rotterdamn Open which will be part of the Spaniard's schedule.

This will not be the first time Carlos will be working with him as Lopez has been a replacement for Fererro when the former French Open winner was not present. Alcaraz has even gone on to back the two working together as well saying, "They trust each other 100 percent and being able to travel with both, for me, it’s going to be great. I think I’m going to grow as a player thanks to them."
