Carlos Alcaraz is poised to return to on-court duties as he gets ready to face American Tennis star Ben Shelton at Maddison Square Garden in an exhibition fixture. Just two days later, he will continue his tour in the United States, going up against American Frances Tiafoe at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The 4-time Grand Slam winner, Carlos Alcaraz will be providing the star power in both events, which will also feature women's matches. His most recent competitive match was just a week prior during the Davis Cup Finals, where he showcased his talent against Tallon Griekspoor in Spain's tie against the Netherlands. Although Spain faced elimination despite all his efforts.

Despite his official competitive calendar being closed until 2025, the 21-year-old is making the most of his free time by honouring previously scheduled exhibition commitments in the US.

Carlos Alcaraz to play against Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe 

The first of these exhibitions is set for Wednesday, December 4, at Madison Square Garden, where Alcaraz will go head-to-head against World No. 21 Ben Shelton. The two players have competed against each other twice before, with Alcaraz emerging victorious in both encounters.

In a matter of two days, Alcaraz will have to out-fly over 800km to compete in The Charlotte Invitational. The iconic Spectrum Center shall be hosting the Spaniard's clash against Frances Tiafoe. Currently, Alcaraz holds a 2-1 advantage in their head-to-head encounters, with Tiafoe achieving his only win during the 2021 Barcelona Open, a match that occurred when Alcaraz was working his way to towards the top 100 ATP rankings.
