The era of the big three Tennis stars, who had taken the world by storm is something we can appreciate. The last two decades saw the dominance of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. These three players have got 66 Grand slams between them, making them the official legends of the game. It is safe to say that the trio all together can make the perfect Tennis player with the skill of Federer, the power of Nadal, and the endurance of Djokovic.

With the three players now in the last phase of their careers, there is still a lot of debate on who will take their place. One of the players that comes to mind is 20-year-old Spaniard, Carlos Alcaraz. Alcaraz already has 13 career titles which also include 2 grand slams winning the US Open in 2022 and the Wimbledon in 2023. He currently has a similar approach to his fellow Spanish legend. Alcaraz also has one of the best records on clay and will be looking forward to dominating the clay season this year. There are high expectations from him in the upcoming Monte Carlo and French Open tournaments as well.

Andy Roddick advises the world's number 3

Former world number 1 and 2003 US Open winner Andy Roddick had some advice for Alcaraz going into the clay season saying “ I think in our generation it was like the players wanted to watch Roger because he could do things racquet skill-wise. And Rafa was like this blunt force trauma of physicality and spin and Novak is like a wrestler who gets you into holds that you can’t get out of. Whereas, Roger kind of had this grace and he would come out with shots that looked like he was playing video games,"

Taking this statement into consideration Roddick had some words for Alcaraz as well, further stating, “Alcaraz is almost like a combination of all three. He’s still finding his way. I think the best version of himself will be when he gets a little more Novak into his game." This seems like a well-detailed analysis by Roddick on Alcaraz’s game. He has not only appreciated the game but also revealed the slightest detail that Alcaraz is missing in his game right now.
