Surprisingly, the Russian didn't have a great start to the game after Sabalenka took a 4-1 lead against her and later won the opening set. However, the 17-year-old star player staged her magnificent comeback in the second set, gained an advantage over Sabalenka's unforced errors, and leveled up the game. The star player continued her domination, executing backhand and forehand volleys that disrupted the world number one's momentum in the third and final set.
