Teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva has defeated world number one Aryna Sabalenka by 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the Indian Wells 2025 final and won the title. The 17-year-old is on the verge of making it to the new WTA sixth rank after her magnificent performance over the Belarusian star in the final showdown. Andreeva has recently won the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships in Dubai last month and now won Indian Wells in California.
Surprisingly, the Russian didn't have a great start to the game after Sabalenka took a 4-1 lead against her and later won the opening set. However, the 17-year-old star player staged her magnificent comeback in the second set, gained an advantage over Sabalenka's unforced errors, and leveled up the game. The star player continued her domination, executing backhand and forehand volleys that disrupted the world number one's momentum in the third and final set.

How have fans reacted to Sabalenka's loss and Mirra's win?
Meanwhile, the fans have had mixed reactions after this thriller match. Many were ecstatic witnessing the 17-year-old tennis star perform at the epitome of the level and take the game to the top. However, some were sympathetic towards Sabalenka after she adjusted as the first runner-up. Few fans were emotional after Sabalenka lost this game.
“Well, mostly that guy in the white long sleeve (smiling). I can say that the whole team is being super protective. I think that because I have such an experienced coach, as well, she also helps me a lot with, you know, she gives me advices, you know, how to play and also how to maybe not to spend too much time on-site or how not to waste your energy. I think, yeah, because I have such a good team around me, they help to protect me. They share their experience with me. I'm super grateful for that," Mirra Andreeva said after the win.

Also,Aryna is arrogant. She comes across as uncaring and uncouth. Who talks about taking 'revenge' against a player like Madison Keys who has come up,working so hard and with such high ethical standards?
