Emma Raducanu jumps 10 places in WTA rankings after win against Peyton Sterns in Korea Open

This season might have given us some great performances but there have been some players who tried their best to make a comeback this season but failed to live up to the expectations. One such player who has struggled to get back on top of the rankings is Young British superstar Emma Raducanu. The former World number 10 has not had the most memorable season where she has failed to win a single title and has not been really active.

Emma Raducanu has faced a lot of problems due to injuries and missing out on some big tournaments and has been giving us some underwhelming performances. The 21-year-old British Superstar was last seen in the US Open where she was beaten by Sofia Kenin in the 2nd round. However she has finally come back with a win in the Korea Open against Peyton Stearns in which she battled through two tie breaker sets to win the game and make it to the last 16.

Raducanu moves 10 places in rankings

This was a needed win for Emma who was playing her first tournament after the disappointing US Open exit which she faced last month. The Former 2021 US Open winner though had to fight through fight her way through both the sets still managed to win and go through to the next round. With this win, Emma has also gone on to move up 10 places in the WTA rankings jumping from 70 to 60. This would definitely give her a lot of confidence going forward in the tournament and we hope she finally makes a big comeback which all her fans have been waiting for this season. 

Though it is great to see Raducanu move up the rankings there is still a long way for her to go this season and she will next be facing Yue Yuan in the round of 16 game who is the 8th seeded player in the tournament. We hope she can continue winning and prove why she is one of the upcoming young stars in the game.
