Nonetheless, as we look back three years after her sensational triumph in New York, the prevailing sentiment surrounding Raducanu appears to be somewhat subdued.

Raducanu has been part of 83 fixtures since her US Open Crown. Her body, plagued by injuries could only secure 42 wins out of the 83 matches. She retired herself in 5 fixtures between February 2022 and January 2023 and went under the knife for 3 surgeries encompassing her wrists and ankle.

Many fans still believe she can do it again , proving her heroics at US Open 2021 was not a "one time wonder".

2025 is going to be the most important season of Emma's career. Tennis is a hard and incredibly ruthless sport where 99% of the professionals don't even reach a major finals.

Injuries and Inconsistency a major Roadblock 

There is no necessity that she has to win a Major in the coming season, but she is at a certain stage of her career where her decisions over the next 12 months may well determine the next course of her career.

Emma is no stranger to talent and now she has the much-needed experience. She didn't drop a single set on her route to the main draw of the US Open 2021 proving it. 

However, consistency is something that has been a major concern for the Brit. She didn't appear consistent with her coaches for a major part of her career. Now that she seems settled with her childhood coach Nick Cavadey and Jane O'Dunghe she needs to replicate the same consistency on On-Court.

It's time for a comeback 

2023 may have been a write-off, and 2024 was focused on making a sustainable comeback without any physical setbacks. However, in 2025 Raducanu should be determined to put in serious work in the gym and on the tour.

Entering tournaments, even if it means going through qualifying, will be crucial. Regular matches will provide the opportunity to accumulate wins and climb the rankings once again. Raducanu has demonstrated that she thrives on rhythm .

It will be beneficial for Emma Raducanu to draw inspiration from the recent successes of her fellow British tennis players like Katie Boulter and Jack Draper . As the youngest rising star among British tennis players, she should maintain her hunger for victory. She can use her experience at the US Open as both motivation and evidence of her capabilities, while also focusing on moving up the ranks from her current position as world No. 72. With just eight Grand Slam match wins over the past three years, she has the opportunity to progress further up the tennis ladder.
