Dhakshineshwar Suresh played a key role in Aussie Mavericks Kites' comeback win in the World Tennis League 2025. The emerging Indian player beat Daniil Medvedev, which helped the Mavericks Kites to make it to the final. In the finals, AMK beat AOS Eagles 22-19 to clinch the title after finding themselves at the bottom of the table.
Suresh turned out to be the most decisive player in helping his team to win the title. Given each match mattered for the teams to make it to the final, the Aussie Mavericks somehow made it to the final. It was possible due to the tall player's big win over Daniil Medvedev.

The 25-year-old also played a key role in Aussie Mavericks Kites' win in the final. Marta Kostyuk started on a good note, as she won the match against Shrivalli Bhamidipaty 6-4 to hand the early lead. However, the latter avenged her loss to the former indirectly with her win in the mixed doubles.

Teming up with Gael Monfils, Shrivalli overcame Suresh and Kostyuk 6-3 to make the overall deficit 10-9 in their favor. Dhakshineshwar again turned out to be highly significant for his team, as he teamed up with Nick Kyrgios to beat Sumit Nagal and Monfils 6-3. Before the fourth match of the final, the Mavericks Kites had a lead of 16-13.

Dhakshineshwar was at it again, as he faced Nagal in the decisive match. He won it 7-6 to help his team claim a win of 22-19. In the process, Suresh became Aussie Mavericks Kites' key player in helping them win their maiden WTL title.
