Cahill felt that the two top ATP players are quite incredible and are handling themselves well. He claimed that the duo has proven that one could be fierce rivals, but coexist at the same time.

"Both of these guys are quite incredible with what they are doing and how they are handling themselves. They are both fiercely competitive, but they also show that you can coexist in the same space with great, friendly respect for each other," Cahill recently wrote in an email.

He felt that the duo did not treat each other differently compared to how they treat others, which he felt was important and a good sign. "I don’t really think they treat each other any differently than the way they treat everyone else, and that’s also important," Cahill added about the ATP's top two players.

Speaking to the media during the ATP Finals, Sinner noted Cahill's importance in his career. The Italian said that the players used to go to dinner together and spend a lot of time on the tour. He felt it led to them opening up with their rivals a lot more than in the current period.

"We had this conversation a bit with Darren. He used to play back in the day. The players used to go to dinner together because the teams were not as big. It was maybe just a player plus one. [That way] you tend to be a bit more together. You open yourself up. You tell stories in the locker room," Sinner said.
