Tennis legend Novak Djokovic has found himself in yet another out-of-the-box battle in the ongoing Miami Open 2025, but this time against the American sensation, Coco Gauff. The two tennis stalwarts faced off in a game of pong amidst a Miami Open 2025 practice session. The 22-year-old Gauff wins this battle, and doesn't hold her audacious claim as she admitted the two of them were really far from impressive.

The two tennis stars don't usually face each other on the court, but they did at the Miami Open 2025. The Serbian and USA stars took a little break from their regular practice session to engage themselves in a thrilling banter of Giant Tennis Pong, where the two ATP and WTA stars used their racquets to launch their balls into the buckets at Hard Rock Stadium.

Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff's struggling 2025 stint

Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff haven't had a great start to the 2025 season, both struggling to secure a major title, so far. Djokovic had a great start, reaching out to the Australian Open semi-finals after defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinals, but retired due to a knee injury in the semi-finals against Alexander Zverev. However, the 24-time major slam winner suffered opening-round defeats in the Qatar Open and Indian Wells 2025.

“Let’s say I am in a pursuit to find the desired level of tennis. I haven't played my best, even close to my best in Indian Wells and Doha. After I retired in my semi-finals in Australia, I haven’t been able to find that quality of tennis I’ve been looking for. I’ve been working hard, giving it my all on the practice court," Djokovic said in a press conference.

Coco Gauff had a stellar start after winning United Cups in 2025. However, the USA star suffered defeat in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open 2025 to Paula Badosa. Meanwhile, she also suffered an early exit in the Qatar Open and the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships before Indian Wells 2025.
