Tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz has stormed into the quarter-finals of the BNP Paribas Open at the Indian Wells 2025, heading within three wins of a marquee event three-peat with a scoreline of 6-1, 6-1 against Grigor Dimitrov, who booked his berth after defeating legendary player Gael Monfils in the third round.
The two-time defending champions turned in his most magnificent display of the ATP 1000 Masters in the windy conditions. Handling the stellar display of shots, exhausting points, and absurd techniques with pragmatic skills, the 21-year-old star player didn't allow the Bulgarian to hit through him and earned the straight sets win to storm into the last eight rounds here.
However, the Spaniard is set to face a daunting task here as he will be facing Francisco Cerundolo in the next game. Notably, the Argentine registered one of his best career wins in the fourth round as he defeated world number 10 and Aussie number one Alex de Minaur. The 26-year-old star player has been in great form and might trouble the four-time Grand Slam winner in this clash.

Carlos Alcaraz reflects upon his win over Grigor Dimitrov
Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz has reflected upon his win and said that it was tough for him to play against a player like Grigor Dimitrov in this clash. The two-time defending champion hailed Dimitrov's legacy and called him a talented player. He has reflected upon how staying in new conditions was a daunting task for him.
"It's really difficult playing against Grigor. He's a really talented player. He can do whatever he wants with the ball. Today with the conditions, it was really tough for both. I had to survive. I always say in these conditions, you have to survive no matter what. I'm very happy that I was able to play long rallies. I got a good rhythm, even with the conditions, so I'm just really happy to get through," Carlos Alcaraz said after the win.
