There have been plenty of great players in the season who have given us some great performances in the Paris Olympics. One of the young guns who has impressed us is none other than 21-year-old Carlos Alcaraz. Carlitos has once again had one of his best seasons winning the French Open and Wimbledon which has even gone on to win a silver in the Paris Olympics as well. Overall it has been a great season for him where he has already broken a lot of big records.

Though a silver medal in the Olympics is not an easy feat, we could all see that Carlos Alcaraz was not happy after missing out on Gold after losing against the legendary Novak Djokovic in the Gold medal match. Alcaraz did manage to take both the sets to two consecutive tiebreakers, but could not get the better of the Serbian at all. Looking at Alcaraz's reaction to the loss it was evident that it was a heartbreaking end to a contest where he was once again at his dominant best.

Nadal comforts Carlitos with an important message

It was really sad to see Carlos Alcaraz in tears as this was his first Olympic event and he was definitely one of the favourites to win Gold this season. However, he will still go out as an Olympic medalist for his nation and still should be proud. This is the same thing his icon and two-time Olympic gold medalist Rafael Nadal also had to say stating, "Carlos, although I know that today is a difficult day, value a medal that is very important for the whole country; in time you will see that for you too. Thank you for this amazing week and for the medal that you gave to Spanish sport.”

This message was posted by Nadal on social media and it was a great heartfelt message with a touch of class which we expect from someone like El Nino. It has still been a great week for the Spaniard and we all are happy that we got to see some great performances from Alcaraz who was very close to making this a perfect summer this season.
