WATCH: Nadalcaraz bows out in Paris Olympics quarter finals

Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz end their doubles journey after straight set loss against Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek in the quarter finals of Paris Olympics 2024.

There are plenty of great doubles duo we all are looking forward to but the duo we all were excited to witness is Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal. The Spanish duo has made the doubles event of Paris Olympics 2024 even more exciting. The fans have been enjoying the Spanish master and apprentice duo who have already had a lot of success in the singles and wanting them to show the same consistency in the doubles. 

This is exactly what the two have done in the competition where the famous Nadalcaraz duo made it to their first Olympic quarter finals. The two were set to play one of the highest seeded duos in Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram. The Americans have been equally phenomenal in this contest and we all have been looking forward to see how the Spaniards would rise up to the occassion and get past another competitive team on the draw.

Nadalcaraz jouney ends in quarter finals

The first set was dissapointing for the Spanish duo as Ram and Krajicek came out on top in the first set winning it by a margin of 6-2 and putting pressure on the Nadalcaraz duo straight away. It was all or nothing for the Spaniards in the second set. The second set saw a bit of drama but eventually it was Ram and Krajicek who came out victorious in the quarter finals. This also means that it is the end of Nadalcaraz in the doubles event.

This was finally the end of Rafael Nadal's journey in the Paris Olympics 2024 and there were some great moments shared between these Spanish duo's who played a great game up until the quarter finals. Unfortunately their medal chances were thwarted by the American duo in this encounter. This is still a journey for Nadal to take some positives and it was great to see him interacting with a young star in Alcaraz during the doubles event.
